Business Closure Request Policy

To protect businesses from unauthorized closure requests, we only process business closure submissions that come from an email address that matches the business name.

What we require

When submitting a request to close a business listing or business page, the request must be sent from an email address that clearly includes the business name (for example: info@YourBusinessName.com, office@YourBusinessName.com, or yourbusinessname@gmail.com).

Why we require this

This step helps confirm the request is coming from the business owner or an authorized representative and helps prevent:

• Fraudulent closure requests

• Competitor sabotage

• Incorrect or accidental listing removals

Requests we cannot accept

We may not process closure requests submitted from:

• Personal email accounts that do not include the business name (example: janedoe@gmail.com)

• Third-party emails that do not clearly match the business name
