A man has died because of getting trapped in a bin at a grain mill.
According to a release from the Clever Fire Protection District, an employee at Gordon’s Feed Mill in Clever was caught in a bin just after Noon on Thursday. Clever Firefighters were joined by several other units in the rescue.
Clever Police Chief Randall Blackburn tells Ozarks First that the man went into the bin to unclog it and began to sink inside it. Blackburn said the grain acted like quicksand as he sunk and made it tough for the man to breath. The Fire Protection release said the man died at the scene.
The name of the victim has not been released with the incident under investigation by the Clever Police Department and Christian County Sheriff’s Office.
