The return of the Cal Ripken World Series to Branson helps cap off a busy summer for Ballparks of America.
Ballparks General Manager Scott Bailes, on a recent edition of KRZK's "The Up Side with Josh and Russ" program said the facility has seen a surge of teams come in for all of their tournaments throughout the year, many that had missed out in 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Bailes says that surge in interest also led the Cal Ripken organizers into expanding the field for this year's 12 and under tournament.
Teams from the Bahamas and Mexico are among those that have already qualified for the tournament, taking place August 5-14.
The complete interview with Scott Bailes can be found on The Up Side Facebook Page while the Ballparks of America Website has more information on this and other tournaments they are hosting the rest of the summer.
