Over 100 people gathered Wednesday morning at Branson Junior High School to be a part of the ribbon cutting for the new Junior High Activities Center.
The facility, and addition to the building next to John Earle Chase Stadium, features new locker room facilities plus an additional gymnasium and concession area which can host events.
During the dedication ceremony, School Superintendent Dr. Nate Moore said the project was fully funded by the school district and did not require the district to go to the voters to pass a ballot issue. He added that the idea came from input received by stakeholders in the district who gave officials input about the need for additional district facilities.
A video of the ceremony can be found on the Ozarks Now Facebook Page.
