The Branson Board of Aldermen gives initial approval to revised language in the City Code about appointments to City Boards and Committees.
During Tuesday's Board of Aldermen Meeting, the board approved the revisions with emphasis on the appointees serving at will and aligned the possible removal of a board member with the same procedure as the appointment of members through the mayor and with the approval of the board.
It was discussed during the meeting that these revisions are not major changes to the procedures already in place but clarifies the procedures and notice to the boards and individuals if the mayor and/or aldermen seek to remove a member.
The full discussion from Tuesday's Meeting can be found on the City of Branson Website.
