The Roller Coaster Weather starts on the chilly side for the weekend but quickly warms by the end of it with a fire risk remaining.
While the Lakes Region is expected to have low temperatures just above freezing Saturday morning, areas around Springfield could dip below that mark, leading the National Weather Service to issue a Freeze Warning for Greene and Christian Counties plus surrounding counties early Satrurday morning. Weather officials warn of possible danger to outdoor vegetation with low temperatures around 30 or lower.
Conditions will quickly warm with highs in the 60s Saturday and back to the 70s on Sunday. With conditions staying dry and warming back up, area officials continue to warn against outdoor burning. In Arkansas, all counties in the Lakes Region are currently under Burn Bans as ordered by the County Courts.
