The Project to remake the look and infrastructure along Branson's Main Street is entering the next part of the current phase.
The complete release below is from the City of Branson:
The Downtown Streetscape Project is moving forward with important progress this week. Crews have completed the base rock and are now forming new retaining walls and seat walls that will soon enhance the look, safety, and accessibility of downtown.
Next week, the project enters a new phase with a split work schedule to reduce daytime disruption:
Night work – Sidewalk removal
Day work – Light pole foundation installation
To ensure continued access to downtown businesses, temporary gravel pathways with protective mats will be in place immediately after sidewalk removal.
North side sidewalk: May 12–14
South side sidewalk: May 14–16
Veterans Blvd sidewalk: May 16-20
Downtown is open for business. All storefronts will remain accessible, with clearly marked gravel walkways and safety mats in place to ensure safe, direct access during sidewalk removal. We understand that construction brings challenges—but it also brings lasting improvements. We appreciate your patience as we invest in a stronger, safer, and more welcoming downtown. Your support makes all the difference.
