Firefighters respond to a report of a power pole on fire Friday evening but get a little bit more than they expected.
According to a Facebook post from the Western Taney County Fire Protection District, firefighters responded to such a call at the intersection of BB Highway and Hidden Valley in Hollister. The fire had spread to some communication wires near the pole as well as a big cedar tree next to the pole.
Firefighters from nearby Station 5 responded to the blaze and quickly got it under control until Liberty Utility personnel arrived at the scene. The post also states they got assistance for traffic control from the Hollister Police Department.
