The latest Heatwave that has seen the Lakes Region reach its highest temperatures of the year will wind down this week.
According to the National Weather Service, the Heat Advisories in effect for the Lakes Region will end this evening. Temperatures today are expected to once again approach 100 with Heat Index Readings of 105 or higher possible. There is also an isolated chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon.
Temperatures will slowly start to drop over the next few days as rain chances increase. Temperatures are expected to be back in the low 90s by the end of this week with overnight lows back into the 60s.
