A partnership in existence for 20 years will continue.
In 2003, the City of Hollister reached an agreement with the Western Taney County Fire Protection District to merge with the City's existing department to bring more fire protection resources to the growing city and benefit both parties financially. An agreement has been in place since then for the District to provide fire coverage for the city plus act as the City's Fire Code Official.
Recently, the contract was approved for renewal for another year by the Hollister Board of Alderman and it will go into effect on December 1st.
A recap of the contract renewal can be found on the Branson Tri-Lakes News Website.
