An agent for the Missouri Department of Conservation says that the hot weather conditions has impacted the fishing in the Lakes Region.
Chris Boyd, Taney County Missouri Department of Conservation Agent, says during an interview for the "At Your Service" podcast on the Branson Podcast Network that anglers have had better success wade fishing in the morning or afternoons on area lakes, especially Lake Taneycomo on the days that water is run through the Table Rock Dam.
Boyd also talked about the recent issues with Zebra Mussels almost being introduced into Table Rock from Bull Shoals Lake and the importance of checking boats when moving from one lake to another. Boyd also talked about the efforts in both Missouri and Arkansas to keep the Zebra Mussels contained to Bull Shoals.
