MISSOURI – Missouri Auditor Scott Fitzpatrick released a detailed audit of the state’s marijuana program on Wednesday.
The audit includes a detailed response from the state’s Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), which takes exception to the audit’s findings.
“I want to acknowledge that they had a big job and it wasn’t easy,” Fitzpatrick told FOX 2.
He added that he believes the findings are valid and can be used to avoid mistakes in the future.
The audit found that some applicants were able to create an abbreviation identifier that could give graders a sense of which company was applying for a license.
