The National Boat Racing Association makes a return to Lake Taneycomo for an event this weekend.
The organization through a release announces the "Thunder at Empire Park" six years after the organization held its last race just up the lake at Rockaway Beach. The event will feature racing several different classes.
The three day event will start with testing runs between 10-5 on Friday with racing taking place both Saturday and Sunday.
