A government agency has completed the investigation into a fatal accident that occurred during the work on the Downtown Branson Street Scape Project.
Ozarks First reports that the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) issued the final order of settlement in February, stating in its report that the employer did not properly instruct the employees in the avoidance of unsafe conditions resulting in the incident that occurred on August 21 of last year at the intersection of Main and Sycamore Streets.
According to previous reporting by Legends 1063, on that date a water main broke during work and Jacob Seiler III died trying to assist co-workers out of the area of the break.
The employer, Emery Sapp & Sons out of Springfield, issued a statement to Ozarks First that they cooperated with the investigation and are committed to their employees’ safety.
More information on the story can be found on the Ozarks First Website.
