One of the biggest industrial employers in the Lakes Region looks to close their facility in the Spring.
In a joint statement issued by the City of Harrison and the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce, they say they are aware of the possible closure of the Pace Industries Facility on Highway 65/62/412 and are monitoring the situation and will work with the possible displaced employees to find other jobs.
According to several sources including the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette, the company, based in Michigan and is a producer of aluminum, zinc, and magnesium die casting, plans to close the Harrison plant for good in April. The plant employees 178 workers according to the report.
