A part of shopping center that includes the Church 3:16 Facility in Forsyth was damaged by fire Thursday.
Forsyth Fire Chief Nathan Bower tells Ozarks First that the call came in at 4:30 p.m. for the fire at east end of the shopping center located at 111 Coy Blvd. Bower says the fire caused extensive damage to the building and part of the roof collapsed and one firefighter was injured battling the blaze. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Forsyth Fire was assisted by Forsyth PD, Taney County Sheriff’s Office, and Taney County EMS at the scene.
According to a post on the Church 3:16 Facebook page, the fire was contained to that end of the building and did not damage any part of the building holding church activities which are still going on as scheduled.
