JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Missouri will begin administering partial SNAP payments to more than 650,000 recipients later this week.
The Missouri Department of Social Services confirmed in an email Monday that the agency will begin distributing funds later this week.
“Barring any changes, DSS anticipates beneficiaries will begin receiving benefits by mid-November,” department spokesperson Chris Moreland said.
An estimated 10.5% of Missourians receive some sort of SNAP subsidy. Although it’s administered through states, SNAP funding is 100% federal funding.
