Polls are now open in Taney County with most voters seeing one to three items on the ballot.
The entire county will vote on a 3% Sales Tax on Marijuana that if passed will go into the county fund to help several departments while voters in the cities of Branson, Forsyth, Hollister, and Rockaway Beach will also have a 3% Sales Tax on Marijuana on their ballots. Passage of the tax in the cities will benefit Public Safety efforts in those communities.
Also, voters in the Branson and Hollister School Districts will decide on a Public Tax Levy to convert the Taneyhills Library from a privately to a publicly funded facility. The tax is $0.18 cents for every $100 on Personal and Real Estate Property.
Among other ballot issues in the region are a 3% Marijuana Sales Tax for voters in Springfield plus a Tax Levy Issue in the Ava School District.
Polls are open until 7:00 tonight with results announced after the votes are counted online as well as on Legends 1063.
