According to a Branson press release Branson’s Parks & Recreation Department “is now taking registrations for its second semi-annual Kid’s Garage Sale.”
It will take place on Sept. 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Branson RecPlex. It is “designed to teach children between the ages of five and 15 skills in counting back money, marketing, selling and pricing items and communicating with customers.” Parents and guardians are allowed to help but cannot complete the work. “Items for sale must be children’s items such as toys and clothes and could also be items handmade by kids.”
Booth spaces can be obtained for $10; vendors are given a table and two chairs to use during the sale. Set-up will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. the morning of the garage sale. Anyone is welcome to attend and be a customer at the sale.
Registration is available online or in person at the Branson RecPlex. Online registration can be done via the online catalog. More information is available in the “Kid’s Garage Sale” section of BransonParksandRecreation.com.
