A low-pressure system that will be tracking along the Gulf of Mexico Thursday and Friday could bring some snow to the Lakes Region.
The system will bring precipitation, including snow to much of Arkansas but the path of the system will determine how much if any gets into northern Arkansas and southern Missouri. Forecasters are currently predicting the system will develop bands of snow that will move through the Ozarks possible leaving an inch or two of snow on the ground by Friday morning. Higher amounts are expected in central Arkansas.
Temperatures are expected to surge up above freezing for the first time this week on Thursday then slightly cool on Friday before a general warming trend starts over the weekend.
