The Stone County Sheriff's Office has arrested a suspect in the death of a man that was found on the Shell Knob side of Highway H.
According to a post of the Sheriff's Department's Facebook page, deputies were called to that area around 10:00 Saturday morning for a report of a deceased male near the road. Officers arrived on the scene and found the body of the 44-year-old man who lived nearby. The deputies said the case was being investigated as a homicide.
A follow-up post by the Sheriff's Department Saturday night indicated an arrest has been made in the case. Though not identified in the post, the online inmate roster for the Stone County Sheriff's indicates 42-year-old Heath Alan Sanborn has been arrested and is facing 1st-Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action Charges and is currently being held without bond in the Stone County Jail.
