As Summer transitions to Autumn, the summer like temperatures will quickly give way to more seasonal readings.
The National Weather Service is expecting the last full day of Summer on Saturday to be hot with temperatures in the low 90s and Heat Index Readings around 100. A slight chance of rain does remain in the forecast for Saturday.
Summer will transition to Autumn on Sunday morning and through the day, rain chances will increase. While the heaviest rain is forecast to be north of the Lakes Region, some scattered severe thunderstorms are possible with damaging winds and brief heavy downpours the biggest threat. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s to around 90.
As the rain moves out on the first full day of Autumn on Monday, temperatures will range from the mid 70s for highs to the mid 50s for lows which will remain in place for the rest of the week.
