A member of the Prosecuting Attorney's Office put together by the late William Duston will now run that office.
In a unanimous decision by members of the 46th Judicial Circuit Court, Brad Hughes will take over for his late boss as Taney County's Next Prosecuting Attorney. Hughes was hired in the office by Duston in 2020 and became the Chief Assistant Prosecutor and has been filling the position on an interim basis since Duston died of cancer in May.
The full details on the meeting and the decision to select Hughes can be found on the Branson Tri-Lakes News Website.
