Thousands of visitors poured into the Lakes Region Monday to view the Solar Eclipse.
The moon began to move in front of the sun just after 12:30 with the maximum impact of the eclipse seen between 1:50 and 2:00.
Traffic was impacted, especially in northern Arkansas where numerous back-ups were reported leading up to the event and afterwards as travelers departed the region.
Due to impacts on transportation and the shipping of needed goods, the State of Arkansas is still under an Emergency Declaration through Wednesday as traffic patterns return to normal.
