When Elevate Branson held their community dedication event on May 30, the site was under a “stop work” order from the City of Branson because Elevate did not have construction permits for the concrete foundations they had placed prior to the ceremony.
According to documents obtained from the city via open records requests, an email dated Monday, May 19, 2025, from Branson Building Services Supervisor Norman Teed to Elevate Branson CEO Bryan Stallings, the stop order for the foundations was issued for “each of the home foundations that have begun without a permit or any inspections.”
The actual stop work orders state, “Stop work order posted due to no permit for work” and “Conditions under which work may resume are as follows: obtain building permit.”
