On 7-18-2025 Carroll County Central Dispatch received a call about a male who was covered in blood and had a gun. Dispatch was further advised that there was a female with him. A short time later Ft. Smith Police Department put out a BOLO for 25-year-old Hunter Harrell and 42-year-old Ashley Lensing related to a homicide in their city. Officers were able to determine these were the same wanted individuals. Officers searched several locations where Harrell could possibly be. While searching a possible location on Stoppel Rd. in Eureka Springs, Deputy Micah Gash located the suspect vehicle. Gash found both Harrell and Lensing still in the vehicle. Both were taken into custody without incident.
Harrell faces charges of first-degree murder and discharging a firearm from a vehicle. Lensing is charged with a parole violation. Both were later transported back to Ft. Smith. Harrell is being held on a $50,000.00 cash bond.
