
The first High School Football Games of October saw rebound wins for Branson and Forsyth and a second straight win for Hollister.
Branson 49 Marshfield 18
After their upset loss at Parkview last week, the Pirates play the first of three straight home games and roll by the Blue Jays. The ground attack, held in check last week against the Vikings, was back in full force as it accounted for five of the Pirates seven scores. Smith Quigg scored three times, Noah McCright twice. The other scores were from an interception return by Casey Giles and a touchdown pass from Vincente Pastrana to Jace Fuller.
Forsyth 41 Reeds Spring 14
The second of the three-way Mid-Lakes Games between the Lakes Region schools goes to the Panthers, as they celebrate a homecoming win over Reeds Spring. The first half was a tight contest which saw the Panthers only hold a 12-7 lead, but the Panthers exploded on a 29-7 second half run to secure the win. Forsyth has swept the series over Hollister and Reeds Spring with those two teams set to met in the last week of the regular season.

The Tigers have been on a roller coaster, having won their first two games of the season, then injuries hurting them as they lost big two weeks in a row. Now, the Tigers have rallied back for a second straight win celebrating a successful homecoming game.

The Goblins fall on their homecoming night as they even their 5A West Record at one a piece with the loss to the Cardinals.
