Charles Clarence Turman, 80, of Lead Hill, Arkansas, passed away September 19, 2025, at home. He was born March 2, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Charles and Nina (Lee) Mabee.
Charles was a good Christian man, all the way to the end. His family was very important to him, and he loved all of them dearly. He also loved the hard work and dedication that went along with being a being a cowboy. He loved the rustic life and living as close to nature as he could. Western movies were his upmost favorite and had seen them all. The Alamo still holds a special place in his heart.
Charles during his working years was a record dealer. Back when vinyl records were popular, Charles used to market and sell records. He absolutely loved music and everything about it. His passion led him down a career path where he never felt as if he was working at a boring job.
Charles also loved his cats; they were like family to him. We all know his kitties are missing him at home very much.
Charles is preceded by his parents, his wife Roxie, and daughter Janis Turman. Charles is survived by his daughter Kim Chandler, sisters; Charlene Pearlman and Penny Hayden, a brother Gary Mabee and a granddaughter, Samantha Turman.
A Memorial Service for Charles will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of Diamond State Cremation, located in Lead Hill, Arkansas.
