Hugh Lloyd Harris, age 78, of Kirbyville, Missouri

Hugh Lloyd Harris, age 78, of Kirbyville, Missouri, passed away August 26, 2023. He entered this life May 5, 1945, the son of Benjamin and Louis (Montgomery) Harris in Houston, Texas.

Hugh proudly served our country in the United States Army. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal. Throughout his seventy-eight years, Hugh never complained and was always there whenever he was needed. The memories and moments created over his wonderful life will be cherished forever by those who knew him.

Hugh is survived by his son, Jerry Harris of Kirbyville, Missouri, and brother, Ray Harris of Houston, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Hugh Lloyd Harris, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Linda Harris.

There will be a funeral service with full military honors held at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2023, with Pastor Monty Dunn officiating.
