Jacqueline “Jackie” Elsie Hebne, age 97, passed away on September 20, 2025.

Jacqueline “Jackie” Elsie Hebner, age 97, of Branson, Missouri, passed away on September 20, 2025. She entered this life on March 17, 1928, the daughter of John Wendal and Georgia Elizabeth (Weidmann) Ziegler. Jackie was joined in marriage to the love of his life on January 4, 1948, to Arthur “Art” Hebner. 

While living in Brinkley, Arkansas, Jackie was a linotype operator then moved to Little Rock in 1958, where she was able to stay home with her two children. She was a member of Arkansas 225 Take Off Pounds Sensibly “TOPS” group in Heber Springs for thirty years. Jackie loved to travel and was able to accomplish her goal of visiting all fifty states as well as Canada, England, and Mexico. One of her favorite trips was in 2018 for her 90th birthday when she and her children visited five national parks and Monument Valley in Arizona and Utah. Her last trip was in 2019 to Olympic National Park and Mt. Rainier National Park in Washington. Jackie also enjoyed camping, waterskiing, vegetable gardening, reading, dining outdoors on the deck and watching Food Network and the Weather Channel. The memories and moments created throughout her life will be cherished by all who knew her.

Jackie is survived by her Gayle Hebner and canine companion, Ginger, of Branson, Missouri; son, Allyn Hebner, his wife, Patricia, and their two daughters. Gwendolyn Hebner and Rebecca Hebner, all of Sammamish, Washington; nieces:  Robin Ziegler, her husband, Clifford Chen, and their daughter, Lucy Chen, all of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Kimberly Hebner of Springfield, Missouri; nephews: Nathaniel Ziegler of Wooster, Arkansas, and Paul Hebner, his wife, Lisa, and their two children, Gillian Hebner and Alexander Hebner, all of Rockford, Illinois; and sister-in-law, Rev. Dr. Carol Ziegler. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Art Hebner; and brother, Dr. John Zeigler.

There will be a memorial service held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Cremations of the Ozarks, 115 Industrial Park Drive, Hollister, Missouri. Jackie will be inurned next to her husband at Valhall Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Illinois, at a later date. Services and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
