Jimmie Ward Scritchfield, 82, passed away on August 30, 2025.

Jimmie Ward “Jim” Scritchfield, age 82 of Cassville, Missouri passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025 at his home.

He was born in Granby, Missouri on June 7, 1943 the son of Harold and Mary (Burkhart) Scritchfield. On April 2, 1992 in Shell Knob, Missouri he was united in marriage to Sharon Kay Winters, who survives. Also surviving are his sons, Mark Scritchfield and wife Beth of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, John Scritchfield and wife Melissa of South Bradenton, Florida and Timothy Scritchfield and wife Amy of Neosho, Missouri; daughter, Mary Scritchfield of Ozark, Missouri; brothers, Michael Scritchfield and wife Debbie of Derby, Kansas and Harold Scritchfield and wife Barbara of Derby, Kansas; 15 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren, as well as our two grandchildren, Samye and Gunnar Borushaski that we raised as our own, and a host of friends and loved ones.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Mark Allen Scritchfield and first wife, Gladys (Oussani) Scritchfield.
Jim attended school in Monterey, California graduating from Monterey High School. He later attended Crowder College in Neosho, Missouri where he attained an associate degree in business. Jim was employed by The Clock Garden Restaurant in Monterey, California as a chef for 25 years. He enjoyed cooking, singing, bowling, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball. Jim also played golf and softball. He was the former music minister at Shell Knob First Baptist Church where he had been a member. Jim was a former member at Emmanual Baptist Church and was a current member of First Baptist Church in Cassville.

Services will be held at 6:30 P.M. Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Bob Gaddis will conduct the services.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 P.M. until service time Saturday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Contributions may be made to the family in memory of Jim.
