A murder trial set to begin in March for former principal at Omaha High School, Rocky Dodson, has been delayed again. He is charged with second-degree murder in the death of his wife Amanda.
According to court documents, the jury trial scheduled to begin March 27 has been pushed back to May after Dodson’s attorney filed for a motion of continuance Tuesday morning. Attorney Shane Wilkinson stated in his motion more time was needed to investigate the facts of the case. 14th Judicial Circuit Court Judge John Putman granted the request.
Dodson is scheduled to be in court for a pre-trial hearing May 2 with the jury trial now scheduled for May 22.
