Another attempt will be made to get a measure on the ballot for Arkansas voters to protect open meeting laws and transparency in government.
According to a release posted by KTLO, Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin approved ballot language for a proposed constitutional amendment submitted by Arkansans for a Free Press to begin collecting signatures to get the measure on the statewide ballot for 2026.
An effort to get a similar measure on this year’s November ballot fell short of the number of signatures needed to get the issue on the ballot.
