The February Warm-Up continues in the Lakes Region and with it, an elevated fire risk.
According to the National Weather Service, conditions on Thursday will see low humidity along with gusty southwest winds of 35 to 45 MPH increasing the risk of outdoor burns getting out of control. The winds will bring in more warm air as temperatures in parts of the region could approach 70 degrees.
Temperatures will eventually drop back closer to seasonal norms as a front will bring cooler air and rain chances over the weekend.
